I'm thirty one. I love my husband dearly and he is my best friend. I am a stay at home mom. I used to do tech support for various ISPs and even did some hardware support for a while. I am a geek, as is my husband. We now have five furbabies; two cats named Piper (the elder, a tuxedo cat) and Aiko (the younger, a small calico Japanese Bobtail), Summer (a grey tabby on white) who was originally Kurt's cat and is at least 18, Buster (orange marble tabby on white) who was a rescue, and Tabitha (grey tabby) who is a rescue and is the only one that lives outside. We had our daughter, Kat, on January 15, 2005 and our son, Matthew, on July 9, 2006.
I am a Christian and, by the world's standards, I am conservative. I believe that Christianity is the only way to heaven, but I do not hate those who disagree with me, such as Muslims, Jews, Buddhists, Hindus, etc. I don't think homosexuality/bisexuality is right, but I do not hate those who are homosexual/bisexual. I WILL talk about my beliefs in my posts. If you don't like reading something with which you disagree, then I suggest you not read my journal. If you want to comment and debate about something with which you disagree, go ahead, I honestly don't mind. Do NOT be disrespectful and condescending. Feel free to state what you believe, but do not call me names or anyone else names for that matter. You can tell me I'm wrong, that's fine, but do not indicate that I am stupid. If you can not be respectful and non-condescending, then you had best move along. I refuse to censor what I say because I have every right to say it, just as anyone who does not agree with me has every right to say what they believe, even if it contradicts my beliefs.
If you post something and do not wish me to comment, you'd best say no comments, disallow comments, or specifically say to me that you don't want me to comment. Otherwise, I will most likely comment. I will NOT do so in a destructive or condescending manner, though that seems to be interpretive. I will NOT do so PURPOSEFULLY in a condescending manner is probably a better way to say it. If you feel like I've been condescending towards you, PLEASE speak with me about it. The written word can sometimes be misleading because there is no tone of voice or body language to accompany it. If you think that I'm being condescending simply because I do not agree with you, then you had better tell me not to comment. This does not mean, however, that I will not write up a response in my journal.
The same goes for my friends. I have friends who believe very differently from me, but don't use me as a way to find someone at whom you can yell and put down.
If you respond to me in a rude and condescending manner, your comment will be deleted. If you do it twice, then I will ban you. I hate to be mean about it, but I've been burned too many times.
