I've not done one in a long time. So, it's time to change that!
This quilt was made for my friend Corrie's son, Isaiah. Alas, I was having trouble with my camera and due to that and the low lighting, the picture didn't come out very well. oh well.
It's just a panel quilt. I had planned out the borders to go a certain way then put them on wrong so it looks a little wonky. Oh well.
Last November, there was a military helicopter crash that killed several soldiers in Italy. Two of these men were friends of a friend of mine. She asked people if they would be willing to do something for the families they left behind. One wife was either 19 or 20 and pregnant with her first child (Mark). The other has a daughter who turns 1 this month.
My friend was thinking something like cards, but I asked if she thought they would like quilts and she liked the idea. Here is Mark's quilt. The quilt for the little girl is being made this month. Unfortunately, I will not be able to get it embroidered like I did this one.
I have a friend in Australia who was going through a very rough time earlier this year. So, I made her a little quilt and sent it to her.
My friend Melody had her first child in June. I was in Georgia, but gave her the quilt as soon as I got back. This is what I made for her. Melody really likes mermaids and when she said she was thinking about decorating the nursery with mermaids, I did a search and found this pattern. She changed her mind later, but I decided to go ahead and make this anyway.
Well, that's my show and tell!
