Linguine with artichoke and lemon sauce

From mimsmom

This recipe was in a new pasta book that I got for Christmas. It was excellent. I highly suggest adding salt. I also cut back on the amount of noodles.

1 pound linguine
1 tablespoon butter
2 chopped cloves of garlic
5 oz. marinated artichokes drained and quartered
5 oz. sliced leg ham, cut into strips (I used a ham steak and sliced it)
10 oz. cream
2 teaspoons lemon rind
1/3 fresh basil torn
1/3 cup parmesan

Cook noodles. In seperate pan melt butter and add garlic. Cook that for about 1 minute and add artichokes and ham. Allow to heat through and then add the cream and lemon rind. Simmer for 5 minutes. Pour sauce over pasta and toss in the parmesan and basil. YUMMY!

***The sauce will be thin until it mixes with the pasta
